'Kalighat er Kaku' refused to reach on CBI call; sent letter from lawyer

Kalighat's kaaku Sujay Krishna Bhadra has not arrived on the call of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in the teacher recruitment corruption case. He was called for questioning at the Central Agency's office at Nizam Palace on Monday.

Earlier, when he was questioned, he had said that he would cooperate in the investigation in every way, but on Monday he sent the letter through his lawyer. In this, he has told that he will not be able to appear for questioning. He was questioned for two and a half hours last week after which he was called once again today.

However, he has claimed that the central agency did not call him personally for questioning but only documents were sought.  He has also sent that document through his lawyers.

It is notable that Kuntal Ghosh and Tapas Mandal, arrested in the teacher recruitment corruption case, have claimed during interrogation that with the help of this same Kaaku from Kalighat, they have been employing teachers illegally.

The special thing is that Sujay Krishna works for Abhishek Banerjee, nephew of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. That is why the strings of corruption are seen connecting with the top leadership of Trinamool Congress.
